Treatment

After applying ultrasound gel on the skin the therapy head is positioned over the treatment area and, depending on the pathology, 500 to 3000 shockwave pulses are applied.

Patients report little to no pain during the treatment. Because shockwaves cause an analgesic effect on tissue, typically after the application of 50 to 150 pulses the treatment does not cause any discomfort for the patient.

The treatment time varies between 15 and 30 minutes.
